I’m John, and I started Afton Consulting Group for one simple reason: “Ski Bum” is not a paying job (who knew??). Luckily, I’ve found one I love just as much: Talent Acquisition. I’ve been in talent acquisition for 25 years and have had the pleasure of holding just about every job in the function, including Global Talent Acquisition Leader. Tired of missing my 2 awesome kids’ childhood because of travel, I started Afton Consulting Group and decided to focus on the two parts of the job I loved most: helping people take the next step in their next career and helping companies hire better.
